Scheduled Snapshots for MFP
We have released enhancements to the Scheduled Snapshots functionality including the Merchandise Financial Planning (MFP) module available via Settings > Data Management > Scheduled Snapshots. These improvements provide a more structured and user-friendly experience when scheduling snapshots for the Merchandise Plan and Assortment Plan modules.
What’s New?
Module Name Selection
- A new Module Name dropdown has been introduced when creating a scheduled snapshot.
- Users can select between Merchandise Plan and Assortment Plan.
- This allows users to easily distinguish between snapshots created for Merchandise Plan and Assortment Plan.
Context-Specific Snapshot Fields
When Merchandise Plan is selected:
- Users will select the desired Scenario from a list.
- No need to add the specific scenario name, as it will be derived from the selected scenario.
When Assortment Plan is selected:
- Users must manually enter a Snapshot Name as usual.
Consistency in Other Fields
- Fields such as Naming Convention (incremental or time), Recurrence (monthly, weekly or specific months), and Time remain consistent with existing behavior and must be filled in as usual.

"Last Exported At" in Recommended POs
We’ve added a new filterable column — "Last Exported At" — to the Recommended Purchase Order (RPO) table!
This enhancement makes it easier than ever to manage your export workflows. With this new filter, you can:
- Quickly identify POs that have already been exported
- Filter them out from your current view
- Avoid re-exporting the same POs by mistake
This helps ensure cleaner data exports, reduces duplication, and streamlines your purchasing process.
Note:
This enhancement was added to Toolio on May 13th, 2025, and applies only to purchase orders created on or after this date. Exported purchase orders created before this date cannot be filtered using this enhancement.
Head over to the Recommended PO table now to check it out — and let us know what you think!

MFP Multi-Plan Support on Exporters
We’ve expanded the capabilities of the Exporter configuration to support specific plan types within the Merchandise Plan (MFP) module!
Previously, exports from MFP were limited to a single module. Now, when setting up or editing an exporter, you can choose from multiple plan types, including:
- Merchandise Plan
- Supplier Plan
- Location Plan
- Category Plan
- ...and others available in your workspace
Why this matters:
This enhancement gives you greater control and granularity over the data you export, enabling more tailored workflows for your planning needs—whether you're sending data to NetSuite, cloud storage, or exporting manually.
Where you’ll see this:
Under Source Settings in the Exporter setup, you’ll now find a dropdown (Module Name) to select the specific plan.

Read more about how to configure and manage your exporters here.
Receipts MOQ
Toolio now offers enhanced flexibility for managing supplier Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) by allowing users to apply these constraints during the receipt generation process. Previously handled during the Recommended Purchase Order stage, MOQ adjustments can now be made earlier in the workflow—providing greater visibility and control over size, color, or overall unit requirements before a purchase order is created.

Use Location Plans in Automated Cluster Groups
We’re excited to announce a powerful enhancement to Automated Cluster Groups in Toolio—you can now use Location Plans as the data source for clustering.
This update allows teams to define clusters based on future-facing store plans instead of solely relying on historical performance. It’s especially useful when expected future performance deviates from past trends, enabling more accurate and intentional clustering decisions.
What’s New
When creating a new Automated Cluster Group, you’ll now see “Merchandise Plan” as a selectable data source—available for any merchandise plan that has Location enabled.

Upon selection, the following inputs become available:
Merchandise Plan Type
- Choose from all location-enabled plan types relevant to your workflow.
Scenario
- Select a specific scenario (e.g., Master Plan, Current Plan, or Original Plan). We recommend using a plan that reflects your latest version of the truth.
Partition Selector
- Choose from product attributes included in the selected Merchandise Plan to define how you want to group products for clustering.
Demand Metric
- Define the clustering logic around either demand or inventory need by selecting from gross sales units/retail or receipts units/retail.

New Pre-Built Purchase Order Views to Streamline Tracking
We’ve introduced four new built-in views in the Purchase Orders module to help you better track, manage, and act on your POs—all without needing to build custom filters from scratch.
Here’s what’s new:
📦 Purchase Orders
A complete view of all POs in the system—ideal for auditing and high-level monitoring. Includes order and receipt details across cost, retail, and ticket metrics.
⏳ Outstanding POs
Easily track POs that still have units outstanding. Helps you stay on top of what’s in transit and what’s still expected to arrive.
🗓 POs By Order Date
View POs that have been ordered recently and have at least 1 unit. Great for planning around incoming inventory and managing your short-term receiving calendar.
🚨 Past Due
Catch POs that are past their expected delivery date but still marked as active. Sorted by most recent Due Date and includes conditional formatting to highlight POs with 0 units received.
You can find all of these under Master Data > Purchase Order. Let us know what you think or if you'd like help customizing them! Also, you can learn more about them here.
Easily Remove Bulk Overrides for Allocation Strategies
You can now quickly remove bulk overrides directly from the context menu. Simply select the relevant choices, right-click, and choose Remove Overrides for Allocation Strategy to streamline cleanup and maintain accurate allocation logic. Please see here for more.

Multi-Currency Support in MP
We’re excited to announce the rollout of Multi-Currency Support in Toolio’s Merchandise Plan!
You can now view and plan in multiple local currencies while maintaining your company’s base currency. Toolio automatically converts values using weekly exchange rates for actualized data either through supplied rates through imports or through a third-party API and lets you define future exchange rates in Settings for planned metrics.

You’ll also see a new currency selector in MP, allowing you to toggle between currencies seamlessly.

Important Updates to Scenario Planning in MP
This update introduces Scenario Types in MP, along with key updates to Editing and Merging plans to help your team manage scenarios and collaborate more efficiently. You will now find both public and private scenarios available, which can be created off of your Master plan.
While Private Scenarios are only visible to their creators, Public Scenarios can either be shared with all team members or restricted. When restricted, these scenarios cannot be edited directly and will require a merge request + approval from an admin before changes are written. This protects restricted plans from any unwanted changes and better enables your team to work dynamically in MP. Please read more about Scenario Planning in Toolio here.

Important Allocation Changes & Day Level Allocations
Please note that the Allocations Algorithm in Toolio has been updated so that Receipts are now sellable in the same period. Previously, receipts were only considered sellable in the following period. This means receipts are sellable in the same week they are received if your Allocations is at the week level, and receipts are sellable within the same day if you have allocations enabled at the day level. You can read more about Toolio's Allocation logic here.
As mentioned, Day Level Allocations is also now available - which runs the same Allocation logic down to the day level granularity. You can read more about it here and contact your Toolio Customer Success team to enable this feature.
Please see below for an overview of the Allocation changes which have been released, which highlights the differences between:
- Toolio's previous algorithm at the week level
- Toolio's new algorithm at the week level
- Toolio's new Day Level Allocations - more details here
Be sure to check out our Roadmap for other planned features and updates to Toolio. Is there a feature you think would be a great addition? Let us know here!
